POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE:    Future Computer Technician Positions

FLSA:                       Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO:         Director

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Contigent Upon Position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma; College or Certifications preferred.
2. Must hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s permit.
3. Ability to work independently to resolve technical issues.
4. Limit end-user downtime by working at a fast pace.
5. Work in a cooperative environment as part of the Technology Team.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate professionally.
7. Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and maneuver in tight areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be prompt.
• Complete hardware installations, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Experience with troubleshooting network and connectivity issues.
• Supporting both local and network printers.
• Unpack, connect, and test hardware including computers, printers, etc.
• Relocate technology equipment as necessary to support operations and instruction.
• Install cabling as necessary to support technologies both within and outside schools.
• Troubleshoot network cameras and camera servers.
• Leave work locations in the conditions they were found, or better.
• Deliver exceptional service in a professional manner.
• Maintain servers at assigned locations.
• Keep hardware and software updated at assigned locations.
• Communicate with administration, teachers, and staff to maintain cooperative relationships.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
